ONS to all of Amma's Children,

 

I found myself at Amma's Oasis today, which prompted

me to invite you all to experience Amma's Snack

Shop-(for those who have been away--all of her flowers

are celebrating springs return).

 

(Thank you to Muktida for meeting me out there in the

sweet rain, and to Sulma, for reminding me that AMMA

is calling us home to the Asram--that conch is blowing

for the preparation of her arrival).

 

If you know anyone that would enjoy

volunteering-before, during, or after the tour, please

extend this invitation: (my contact info is

Pre-tour:

 

Come join the behind the scenes work --laying

astroturf-hanging lights, washing baking equipment,

putting on finishing touches--there is something very

delicious about clearing the way for AMMA-we have a

ton of tasks to do-all support is appreciated (2hrs?

4?--what ever you can chip in- its flexible).

 

We also need some folks to step into roles---

 

Recycling Coordinator--this is a great job ensuring

that all of the bottles & cans are collected and

transfered off the land. Its a thirsty crew!

 

Donations/Amma's First Day Donations (breakfast items

to serve before bakery is fully operating) Loaning

Library Coordinator--

 

You are basically responsible for soliciting healthy

snacks, and borrowing items from local sevites for

the SR portion of the tour. (You will get help with

this) All items (things like metal shelving unit,

buckets) should be marked with names and picked up

immediately after Devi Bhava. We also need someone to

solicit donation items to sell during the first

morning program and snacks to have all through the

programs.

 

Once Amma Arrives:

 

 

Supervisor positions: These are 4 hour shifts for

folks who really want to help with snack shop and love

doing it. (This is great fun-training other sevites

and running the snack shop is a blast).

 

Naturally theres good ol 2 hour slots open for

Sevites--for those of you who enjoy spurts of joy-its

just fun-

 

Devi Bhava Café  --This opens when AMMA leaves SR

after Devi Bhava-its perfect for those of you who are

energized by staying up all night with Amma, or those

who come the next morning to see her off-we don't want

to waste any items prepared to feed folks during our

all night long celebration of Devi, so this is our

final sale and tends to be a SWEET seva as all of

AMMA's children depart for home or head for LA.

 

Reed’s Ginger Brew Drink Pick up: The drinks are

generously donated but need to be picked up from a

wear house-probably one truck load, but if a few

people with cars volunteer-that works too!
