It almost looks like a "brownie-point" scoring game for some intellectuals. Someone else wrote: "OK, so maybe this is a brownie-point scoring for some intellectuals like myself; no worse than BS that is swallowed from scriptures and spat back out." These remarks on intellectualism brought to mind another verse from the Guru Gita: "Intelligent disciples should never speak lies with untruth or egotism. Always speak truth before the Guru." So the question becomes, "what is Truth?" Are we spiritually developed eough to say that we know? In my view, the Guru is Truth, and Truth is Love. Nothing else matters. Guest guest
I unfortunately got involved in defending Amma, bhakti and vedanta in other chat rooms. intellectual cynics abound on the internet; it is an endless quest to try to reason with these folks. The mind can find one million reasons to criticize everything. I have learned my lesson. No more online debates for me. It is a fool's errand. I am lucky enough to have experienced Amma's grace and to really know who she is, without doubts. That is enough, I will refrain from trying to convince doubters, but try to remain in the mood of love. that is Amma's inner message to me anyway. Guest guest
om namah shivaya Humble pranams at the lotus feet of amma, last time when i visted the ie., amma_free_talk if i remember there was a discussion running about amma and RSS, but i don't think that there is any need for such a thing as we all know that whatever amma does is for the well being of her children and the world, I was very hurted to see such a type of comments being made on amma and i left that group.Do you think such a type of chat on amma is required? Guest guest
I responded to other similar posts agaisn't Amma in different groups, but it tends to lead to long winded posts where anti-guru people unload on Ammachi for a variety of reasons. I guess it is just karma. I will leave it up to the Great Goddess of Shakti to take care of her children...that job is way beyond my abilities. Also, people have the right to doubt. They have their processes. I started to feel uncomfortable about giving "advice."
