Guest guest
Sara posted this post from a friend at Amritapuri: This ashram is run by a crazy woman! It resembles an insane asylum more than anything else. Amma is sponsoring a "camp" for "tsunami children," 2,000 of them. And guess what....They're all housed in the regular quarters. This floor has been empty except for three rooms. It ain't empty any more! It's nearly midnight and sounds like a children's holiday in the hall. (Heck, it IS a children's holiday in the hall!) How do you say "Shut the hell up!" in Malayalam?" That's one reality. The other one is that there's a part of me that's amused and just watching. What ELSE will She do? What else CAN She do? Dear Sara ~ first, since there has been some controversy about this post, I want to recognize that you simply posted it, after getting permission from a friend. It is not your response. Also, I think the final paragraph that I posted shows that this person's heart is really in the right place. She seems to be acknowledging what simply "is," along with her ego's reactions, but then recognizing that Amma can do anything. After reading early on that Amma had said She would adopt children orphaned by the tsunami, this post made me feel really happy. How wonderful that children who have been through such a tragic experience, including losing their parents, could be running around having a "children's holiday." It brings tears to my eyes. What ELSE will She (Amma) do? What else CAN She do? Apparently, anything She wants. Jai Ma! ~ Linda
