Dear Ethan ~ there is a wonderful book, a translation of an ancient text, the Chandi Path (pronounced Chandi Pat). It is a book of worship, of puja to Durga and those who arose from Durga, including Kali, Saraswati, and MahaLaksmi. Right now it is again another Navaratri, and in another group I belong to, we are chanting the Chando Path over the seven day Navaratri period. The book is also a story ~ about how Durga and Kali defeated the army of the Great Ego and the Thoughts, Too Little and Too Much. If you are interested in checking in out you can find it in the books section at _www.shreemaa.org_ (http://www.shreemaa.org) At this same site there is a Kali Puja book ~ what better way to invite Kali to visit you than to offer puja to her. Here is the blurb about the book from the site: "KALI is the Goddess who takes away darkness. She cuts down all impurities, consumes all iniquities, purifies Her devotees with the sincerity of Her Love. Now we can worship Her according to the ancient tradition. Kali Puja is presented in original Sanskrit, a Romanized phonetic transliteration, and a complete English translation.
