Linda, Sarama & Georgeson,

Your sharing on this subject has been really good to read. Here are some notes

I recently copied from Awaken Children VIII, that apply to relationships. Shows

a good direction for growth. Maybe this will also help someone else.

"Do not blame the circumstances and do not blame others. Remove your own

weaknesses. Your failures and your hurt feelings, your fears and your troubles,

are all due to some weakness within yourself, and this weakness is known as

ignornace. You identify with your thoughts which are based on a misconception."

"Once the realization of the Self arises, there can be no question of

relationship, because the two disappear. From that point onwards, there is

onely oneness, and total detachment."

"(Like a body) ... everything is a whole, a single unit." ... "If we lay much

emphasis on our relationship with the outer world, while we ignore the inner

world, it will increase the gap between us and our true Self."

"The ego can be compared to dead matter, for without the Self it is insentient.

Stop giving any importance to the ego. Learn to ignore it. It will then

withdraw and disappear."

(part of a bhajan);

"Stop expecting the fruits

Of your actions

Worship the form of the Universal Self

In the blosson of your heart."
