To sara on healing with mothers and fathers

Dear sara ~ thank you so much for sharing your personal story of healing

with your parents. Amazingly, I did experience something like this with my

father, who was the abuser in my family. And it was after he had stopped

drinking.

For several years, before he died of Parkinson's Disease, we had the kind of

loving father/daughter relationship I had always longed for. It wasn't

perfect, but it meant the world to me. I appreciate your sharing of praying for

your father and mother. I think that this, along with the other things people in

this group have share, would be very helpful. I do not know if I will ever

experience the kind of healing with my mother that I did with my father, but I

pray it will be so, and I will pray to Amma about it. Again, my heartfelt
