Guest guest
The paper entitled "When a Wise Woman Leads: Mata Amritanandamayi – Non-Hierarchal, Non-Authoritarian Matriarchal Religious Leadership" and the Power Point slides that accompanied it are both in Files here. The Power Point slide presentation takes up a lot of space and so perhaps I'll delete them in a week or so. The whole list deserves thanks for your help with this paper. You'll see that the whole list is mentioned! Special thank you to Linda, "Shyam," Sarama, Snehalata, and Amarnath. For me, Amma's family helps me understand Her glory more fully. The paper was delivered on Sunday, March 14 at the western regional conference of the American Academy of Religion in Tempe, Arizona. It was well received. Afterward, three people asked me for hugs! One had just presented a wonderful paper on Mago, a little known goddess from ancient Korea. I told her that her research was very important since no one knew Mago very well. I hoped she would get a wonderful teaching job in a college so that she could continue her work on Mago. She asked for a hug so she could have Amma's blessings for that! The next day a woman came up to me and said that she had loved the presentation (meaning loved Amma), that she taught Women and Religion in a college in Arizona and that next year she would teach about Amma. Jai Ma! Aikya
