Thanks, Sarama! I'll fix my guess in the Works Cited.

The paper presentation at the American Academy of Religion went

well. Everyone was smiling very broadly when it was finished.

Also, three women asked me for hugs! In one case, it was a young

Korean woman who had just done a presentation about a little known

ancient Korean goddess named Mago. Mago's story is little known in

the West and I told the young scholar that she had done some

wonderful original research that was much needed, that I hoped she

found a very nice teaching assignment so that she could continue her

work about Mago. She asked me to give her a hug so that she would

have Amma's blessing for that!

Next day a woman stopped me outdoors and said how much she loved the

presentation. Apparently, she teaches a course entitled Women and

Religion in a college in Arizona and she expressed her intention to

teach about Amma in that course next time.

To talk about Amma anywhere is only to praise Amma, to bring her to

a new population who may not know about her Such a presentation is

a joy and doesn't feel particularly academic although the audience

was, in this case.

Without the help of readers of this list, the paper would have been

much more dull. My beginnings with Amma started with her devotees

and I still find all of you like a living spiritual book that I love

to know and love to show off whenever I can.

I have some small corrections to make in the paper, one of which is

the publication date of Vol IX of Awaken Children. Once those small

changes are made I'll post the paper in the Files section here. It's

about 13 pages long including endnotes, etc. I did show Power Point

slides which I can't post in Files and which might be awkward if

posted in Photos. If people want to see them, however, I can post

them there and you can try to imagine the two happening together.

In Amma's love,

Aikya
