Most of us have no idea just how much the hosts give. We don't want to know. It's easier to criticize than to take responsibility. Recently the 2 of us who take the most responsibility for our local satsang experimented with handing over 2 responsibilities: prasad and flowers. At the last satsang there were no flowers and only one person signed the sign up sheet to bring those items to future satsangs. By Amma's grace, the 2 of us will resist stepping in and others will step up. Dear Kenna ~ you make some very good points. At this point though I believe it is a bit premature to talk about financial and time commitment in terms of Amma's tours. She already comes to Santa Fe and Albuquerque, and I very much doubt there would be enough people to warrant Her visiting Silver City, although a visit from Swami Dayamrita at some point might be nice. I have no idea how our group will begin, evolve, or even if it will take off. What I do know is that I don't want to be in the coordinator position, which, of course, at this point everyone sees me as, since I am the one who instigated trying to get a group started. I believe our group will be very low key at first, and hopefully evolve from there. I do know that I will keep my friends here on the digest up to date and ask for suggestions and feedback because you have all been so helpful so far.
