So, I don't know how this would go over with the currently reigning "Queen Bees." Dear Sweta ~ You are certainly right ~ I have had this experience of a Queen Bee not acknowledging her Queen Beeism, yet stepping in front of the actual coordinator to try and run everything. This type of experience is very detrimental and toxic, both to the group and to whatever the group is doing. Since our satsang hasn't started yet, there isn't any Queen Bee. I believe that, at our first meeting I want to suggest spending some time discussing structure (e.g., who is serving as the coordinator and will the position be rotated, what kinds of activities people want to include, etc.) I have no experience at this, but I did get a lot of helpful information from the SW Satsang Coordinator. I have had experience working in several groups where the people in the group were very mindful of structuring the group to avoid Queen Beeism, although the way we discussed it was to give everyone an opportunity to be in the "leadership" position. Leadership is a fact and an issue whenever a group is involved, so I believe the more mindful the group can be about this, both in the sense of sharing the role and in the sense of not getting anyone's ego too entrenched, the better our experience will be.
