Guest guest
Dear friends in Amma, Most of you know of my strong desire to be near a satsang group. Ever since moving to Silver City, NM, and discovering that there was no satsang, I have wondered how on earth one could be started. I knew of no other Amma devotees here. A few weeks ago, I got a letter from the Southwest Regional Satsang Coordinator (who would have known there were satsang coordinators!) telling me there were 6 other Amma devotees here and was I interested in getting something going. I wrote back immediately and Brii, the coordinator, asked me to come up with a blurb that she could mail to the other devotees. Yesterday, one of the devotees who received the email contacted me and was very excited about starting a satsang. She had already been in touch with 5 other people and also knew a woman, whose name Aikya had given to me. I then wrote to Swami Dayamrita, as I have no idea how to get a satsang started and the woman I talked to seemed to think people would be most interested in seeing movies about Amma. I was then directed to another person who helps get satsangs started, and I have now written to him. But what I want to share is the miracle of this ~ that I have been wanting this for 3 years, ever since I moved here, and now it it beginning to happen. Oh! I am so excited. If any of you belong to satsangs (I remember the Madison satsang being mentioned), I hope you will write with your suggestions. I do not want to "turn off" the interested people by trying things they are not ready for (singing bhajans, puja, meditation, etc.), but I would like to eventually help gently nudge the group in that direction as we grow. If anyone has any Amma videos they are willing to loan on a temporary basis as we get our group started, I would be so appreciative. (All of my Amma videos, bhajan books, etc. are in Oregon in storage). Any loaned videos will be loving and carefully used for the group and then greatfully returned. You can send them to me: Linda Talbott 2311 Ranch Club Rd., #101 Silver City, NM 88061 So whatever anyone has to share in the way of what a satsang does, videos, suggestions, etc. will be most humbly and joyfully accepted. This is my miracle! Jai Ma ~ Linda
