Guest guest
In one of my first letters to Patricia Carman I told her that I had put her on our prayer list and that we would be praying for her. She replied by asking that we pray that she be granted parole. Join me in the happiness over this great news! Patricia Carman has been granted parole. Her daughter died due to choking on food. She has the autopsy report saying this. Patricia and her husband have been in jail for 12 years having been convicted in Texas of the crime of murdering the child. She is on the list of several organizations investigating prisoner's claims of innocence. She is a wonderful person, a Cherokee who keeps her traditional spirituality as much as possible. She will be thrilled to be able to offer her morning prayers standing barefoot in the grass facing east once again. She will go home to be with her aging mother in Long Island, NY. She has surely burned away a lot of negative karma. I truly believe that Amma is guiding us to very special people in our Circle of Love work. Patricia has already volunteered to be a Circle of Love Letter Writer once she is released. I hope she can be a correspondent for some of the native brothers and sisters who are trying to keep their spiritual traditions alive or who are only now in prison learning their spiritual traditions. Some people a while back were concerned that we were trying to "convert" people to Amma. What's happening now in the Circle of Love work is that we're starting to partner with other correspondence organizations and individuals who are committed to specific faiths. I'm just starting to put together a circle of native elders and spiritual leaders to write to the native brothers and sisters. Doing this feels like building tsunami - proof foundations, if you know what I mean. Jai Ma! Aikya
