We also concurred that others who had not had such Vedanta

training could well find the experiences terrifying and wind up

hospitalized and on medication due to the ignorance of current

mental health providers about spiritual matters.

Dear Aikya and all ~ one can speak in poetry and song about things one

cannot speak about in plain English without being trunced into a straight

jacket.

Thank goodness we have metaphor, the use of which Yogananda and many others

were a great example.

Listen in the Cave of your Heart.

The Silence echos your Name.

Do you answer the Call to

come Home again.

It's a voice whispering in your dreams;

It's the wind blowing through your hair.

Sometimes It's not what it seems;

Sometimes It's hardly there.

It's calling, calling you,

like your own true Love.

It's calling, calling you

like a Voice from Heaven above.

It's calling you like a child

who needed something so much.

And you just might fine It

if you go deep enough...

That's enough metaphor for one post (and a bit of a song I wrote a long long

time ago)
