For some reason I have been thinking about Amma's hair. Dear sarama ~ if I haven't already done this, please let me welcome you to the group. It is wonderful to have you with us. I have always loved Amma's hair ~ up in a bun beneath Her head shawl, with darling curly whisps escaping around her face; escaping from Her bun; hanging long down Her back. Her hair is beauty itself and just a small aspect of the beauty that is Amma, inside and outside. I did bid on a few items from the auction and won three. The one thing I bid on that had actually been used by Amma, a lovely plate, went above my limit that I could spend. But the other day, a box arrived from the M.A. Center. I had forgotten about the auction, and thought, "did I order something and forget about it." Then as I opened the box and unwrapped each object, the tears began to flow like a river. They were all very simple, but each had been blessed by Amma: one a tiny vase with silk flowers and (simulated) dew drops, which now sits on my altar next to my picture of Amma; another, a lovely tin candy dish in the shape of a Christmas Tree (I was so happy to win that one because I love Christmas)j; and the third, a beautiful bowl, handmade, with a spiral at the bottom center. I can't describe my feelings as I unpacked, hugged and then placed these items where I wanted them. It was ecstacy, poignancy, joy all together.
