Guest guest
One of the Circle of Love letter writers, a woman of course, holds the opinion that men do not write letters. It's true that most of the Circle of Love and Circle of Love Inside letter writers are women but there are three men as well. And Themba, up until he lost his job and place to live, was writing to almost 20 brothers and sisters in prison. Seven of the men in prison have written back to us. Today I heard from Antonio. We've been writing to him since November and have not heard anything. Here's what his letter said, We've been writing to Antonio since November with no reply. Today a letter came from him which read, "Hi. How are you? Me, I am just getting settled. I am very sorry for not writing sooner. I have been a little sad but I'm getting stronger day by day. The letters you and Themba wrote me help me a lot. I thank you for the love you share. Amma's love spreads around and gets in us. I know that through love it will help the pain we feel. I thank you for the pictures you sent me and for not stopping writing me. I will write you at least 1 time a week. I have been trying to stay focused and stay in Amma's love. Some days get hard but I'm still there. I have been in school and lifestyle change classes. So things will get better. I have written Themba. He's been sending me cards and letters. I thank him for that. Telling me to keep Amma's love in my heart. So I have been showing love tomy brothers and sister and telling them about Amma. How she hugs so many people every day and leeps love in her heart. I am trying ot find some of Amma's books. I have my family looking for me. Well, I got ot go to class so I will write to you soon. Sorry it's so short. You have my love, my sister." I am going to ask Mothersbooks to send Antonio a biography of Amma. Aren't there any men out there who could write letters? Antonio is a fairly simple soul. I just received two replies from other guys who have been using their prison time to grow spiritually. One of them said he'd seen Amma on television on a travel show. The other wrote "Amma is a manifestation of the living truth. Her work is not work but love in motion. I recognize her spirit as the same spirit that lives in Gandhi. Or the great sages and prophets of the past. Her spiritual life force is the universal spirit I am seeking." If you are willing to write to some of these brothers, please contact me offlist at aikya In Amma's love, Aikya
