Guest guest
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Amma, Thank everyone for sending in names for prayers. I have received many notes from people saying the prayers are helping. Blessings to all of you for participating in this seva. Again, I believe it would be a good idea to outwardly (verbally) or inwardly, whichever suits the individual person, state the intention that "I am saying this prayer for these people," and then to outwardly or inwardly say their names. The names for this week's Prayer Group are: Aikya Nisha Bhaskaran Mark Boudreaux Benjamin Booker Katie Brown Patricia Carmen and Family Renee Charles and Family Christine Louis Craighead Corb Lois and David Dennis Scott Evans and his Father Bela Gayton H. Guest guest
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Amma, I want to share with you one account I have received from a person who felt her prayers were answered because of the Prayer Group seva. The name of the person will be anonymous by request. Initially, this person, like others, felt she should not ask to be put on the prayer list because she believed so many others were in greater need. So I will say as I have said before, there is no prayer too small or too large for a person to be on the prayer list. Please, please don't hesitate to send in your name or anothers because you believe someone is more deserving. All of Amma's children are deserving. Okay ... the story. Our sister first emailed me on Wednesday, February 16 to request that her name be added to the prayer list. The time she sent her request, she recounts in her note to me: "was at 11:08 am ... and at 12:08 noon one hour later....I got a call that my year long challenge to get Social Security Disability allowance had been approved." She goes on to say: "I was so pleased to get the initial call one hour past the time I ask for Amma's prayers and that of her devotees....that I was stunned. It was not until Friday, Feb 18th, that I had the presence of mind to call and confirm that the FINAL decision was made ....and at that time, was told that the decision included back pay for almost 18 months ( for which I have been unable to work full time)." Our dear sister then went back and rechecked the time she had sent her request to me and "knew immediately when I saw the time I sent it to you.....that it was exactly one hour prior to receiving the 12:08 noon call.....Mother does work miracles." Guest guest
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Amma, Today is the day to start sending in names for the prayer list, and since we have a new member, I will give a little background. Another digest I to has a weekly prayer group where members of the group send in names they want prayers for. My experience with this was so wonderful, I thought the Amma digest might be interested, so I proposed the idea and was met with an overwhelming positive response. So now, our Prayer Group has been going for 6 months! Here is how it works. Send in the name(s) of anyone you wish to be included on the prayer list (you can send your own name too). Send them to my personal email: _Nierika_ (Nierika) and put prayer group or prayers in the subject line. I compile the list each week, and then post it to appear in the Friday digest. Our "official" prayer day is Sunday, but as the instructions suggest, the prayer list may be used for prayer anytime. Many of the suggestions included with the list were proposed by group members, so there is a lot of flexibility in how an individual can participate in this seva.
