Additionally, the recently distributed notes from a meeting of Amma's satsang leaders, indicate that Amma is again asking her children to become invloved in more service projects at a local level. In response to the brother who wrote about his neighbor who is suffering from cancer, we are all Amma's children ... regardless of whether or not we've seen Mata Amritanadamayi's human form. I thought to "myself,So does She want us to do fundraising for India AND support the ashram AND connect locally where we live and do local service projects?" The answer was, of course, "YES." Now, each of us needs to decide individually where we feel guided to participate. We can't all do everything. George, it sounds like your guideance is to give to Tsunami relief. Guest guest
Dear Divine Siblings, Many years ago I asked Mother how I could serve Her, and Her answer was to dedicate everything I do to Her. It would be nice if I remembered to do that more often. I think that most people have a need to serve others. It just plain makes us feel better. Unfortunately, due to several disabilities, I am usually the one in need of help, but I still have the desire to help others. So praying for others helps. We all do the best we can - most of the time. I don't have GeorgeSon's original email regarding this issue, but I recall it was at least in part due to the fact that so many people were appealing for funds for people in need. I can understand this concern. It is also true that such messages can be deleted. I think we all feel bad because we can't help everyone.- and we feel so bad for those who suffer. And yes, everyone and everything, every little thing, is Mother's child. Mother Herself! Our very own selves! Mother opens our hearts so we have more compassion and love for everyone and everything. It's Her fault that we are so compulsive about this! :-) Om Lokah Samastah Sukhino Bhavantu prasadini wrote: >Amen, sister Amalia!
