in the last couple of days being homeless and focusing on what "I"

needeed enabled me to become so selfish.i became so overwelmed in

what "I" needed that it drained me...when i finally talked to a

devotee on the phone and finally listened to myself,i got of the

phone like "WOW",I AM BEING SO SELFISH.right before that, a blind

elderly lady asked me to push her in her wheel chair to the elavator

and then on the third floor.we had the sweetest conversation and then

it clicked in.THE JOY AND SUPREME ENERGY OF THE MOTHER IS BESTOWED UPON US

WHEN WE SERVE OTHERS.I HAD KNOWN THIS BUT IN BEING HOMELESS AGAIN I

PANICKED.MY FAITH IN AMMA DECREASED JUST THAT QUICK!AFTER ALL SHE HAD DONE FOR

ME OVER

THE YEARS NEVER DISAPOINTING ME,I HAD THE AUDACITY TO DOUT HER.well anyway i

shared this as a service to someone who this experience my be able to help...

Dear Temba,

I very much needed to read this, so thank you for sharing it. We are all

only human, and when our circumstances are not what we'd ideally like, we get

discouraged, we doubt, and in so doing, we only hurt ourselves all the more. Yet

I believe it is understandable, and your turn-around story is very

inspirational.

Sometimes, because of my multiple chronic illnesses and the fact that I am

living in a trailer at my age (which is not young), not able to work, on social

security disability, etc., etc., etc., I become very discouraged. I forget

to be thankful that I have a roof over my head, food to eat, social security

disability to provide me with a modest income and medical care, friends here

where I live and on the Digest. It is good to be reminded that when we serve

others, we reconnect to Amma, to that Divine Energy within, and our whole

attitude does an about face. It is really a question of are we resisting that

Divine Energy that can pour into and through us or are we allowing it in

greatfully and joyously. Jai Ma ~ Linda
