Guest guest
in the last couple of days being homeless and focusing on what "I" needeed enabled me to become so selfish.i became so overwelmed in what "I" needed that it drained me.it wasnt until i started realizing how much i had to be greatful for that my transformation began to take place.the first two days of my ordeal,my prayers were ,"AMMA please give me this, please give me that, please help me.at the same time i was still breathing, healthy and had eatin a meal or two.my ego got heavier and heavier as i focused on me.when i finally talked to a devotee on the phone and finally listened to myself,i got of the phone like "WOW",I AM BEING SO SELFISH.right before that, a blind elderly lady asked me to push her in her wheel chair to the elavator and then on the third floor.we had the sweetest conversation and then it clicked in.THE JOY AND SUPREME ENERGY OF THE MOTHER IS BESTOWED UPON US WHEN WE SERVE OTHERS.I HAD KNOWN THIS BUT IN BEING HOMELESS AGAIN I PANICKED.MY FAITH IN AMMA DECREASED JUST THAT QUICK!AFTER ALL SHE HAD DONE FOR ME OVER THE YEARS NEVER DISAPOINTING ME,I HAD THE AUDACITY TO DOUT HER.well anyway i shared this as a service to someone who this experience my be able to help.help a elderly lady felt better.wrote a letter to michael felt better.not feeling so good my brother or sister?find someone that you can serve.love you .om namah shivaya.themba

I have also noticed that I feel SO much better when I am doing some sort of seva. It reminds us that our personal happiness is not the most important factor we should be focusing on in our lives. Thank you for sharing your wisdom, yaar. I am glad to see that your situation is improving, and that Amma is continuing to provide for you, physically and spiritually! Brightest Blessings, Bela
Guest guest
Namah Shviaya. Since the tsunami, have been wanting to share this from the first bhajan book from San Ramon sometime after Amma first started coming on tour (1987): ³Before each puja began Mother cautioned in a serious tone: ³Due to mankind¹s selfish actions, nature is no longer in harmony; Nature has become unbalanced. Mankind¹s actions condition Nature¹s grace. In the future we will witness a great catastrophe unless we begin to act with discrimination. Through chanting with concentration and devotion the atmosphere will be purified and nature¹s anger will also gradually subside. Children, be very sincere and diligent in your sadhana.² Bhakti da jagadambe. (praying for devotion) p. Aum Amriteshvaryai Namah
