Om Amriteswarye Namah:

Many of us are praying for Shehalata (Dixie).

Last Saturday night I was blessed with the opportunity to attend Satsang at MA

Center.

I placed Shehalata's name in the prayer box in the back of the hall. When the

names of people were read I felt a tangible force field. I cannot describe it

in language.

Let us pray that Amma takes Shehalata firmly in hand.

With Love,

GeorgeSon

Namaste,

Thank you so much, Georgeson, and everyone else; I am truly humbled by the love

you've shown and continue to show. I appreciate every prayer and personally ask

Mother daily for Her will to prevail in my life.

We've been asked to share when we think prayer is truly working in our lives and

I have no doubt about it. After the last cardiac catheterization, I was passed

on to the pulmonary doctor whose taking care of me now and who confirmed the

cardiologist's diagnosis of pulmonary fibrosis. He essentially said that there

was little medicine could do to even ease the symptoms beyond putting me on

oxygen and giving me a couple of inhalers to open the airway a bit more for a

few hours at a time, adding that if I return to work in early February, it would

be with oxygen in tow and probably only for a very short time since over 1/2 the

people with pulmonary fibrosis don't make it more than three years. Apparently,

once the autoimmune response kicks in, what had been an inflammation becomes

scar tissue - mine probably was set up by a horrific case of pneumonia about ten

years ago that didn't get resolved before the autoimmune syndromes I already had

became active in my lungs as well.

Anyway, to make a long story short, seems to be a very kind, but busy, man and

he essentially sent home with very little (well, actually none) emotional or

medical support. That may - and I stress may- be changing. The doctor called

the other evening-out of the blue and, from what the respiratory therapist who

handles my oxygen says, quite uncharacteristically. Apparently, 'something'

about my situation was "troubling" him so he had decided to look at the CT scan

again (your prayers at work here?). After doing so, he feels that there is a

slim chance that my lung problem may instead be a condition called sarcoidosis

and he wants to do a lung biopsy; we'll schedule that quite soon after my Feb. 2

office visit if I am stable enough by then.

This would not be a 'home free' change of diagnosis by any means because the

permanent lung damage is still there - but the dr. thinks that, if it is

sarcoidosis, they might be able to arrest it where it is and eventually even be

able to let me have some time without oxygen.

Dear ones, I don't think even this ray of hope would have been possible without

your help-how often do doctors just decide, mid-evening, to pop over to the

hospital and double check their findings? And, odd as it sounds, while I

certainly would like to live, regardless of the outcome, I am going to be

eternally grateful to Mother for having given me the opportunity to see, first

hand, the very, very best in others.

My own prayers to Amma are that, by Her grace, my wind will be restored so I can

sing praises a while longer-but if that isn't part of Her plan for me, that Her

will prevail.

So, in the end, I have no doubt whatsoever that your prayers, and Mother's love,

are part and parcel of every breath I am given the blessing of drawing.

Your sister in Amma with great love and gratitude,

Snehalata

Snehaji,

This attitude is optimal. My sense is that Amma is mightily pleased

by your obedient surrender.

Her will be done. Stay Strong, sister.

P.S. Your poise under these circumstances is inspirational. Though we

have never met outside of cyberspace you have helped me grow.
