Dear Amma,

Thank you for your non judgemental Love

Thank you for accepting me , regardless of my past.

Mother, thank you for accepting me , even though i may committed a million

sins, even thouigh I may have failed again and again in my duty to God and to

man

Mother thank you for accepting your children, however low they have sunk,

whether they are decrepit, disabled, diseased, homeless on the street, abandoned

in an orphanage, or in prison.

Mother in this world there are only two types of people- those who turn to God

and those who dont.

Mother those who turn to God, find peace and love and shelter at Your feet

regardless of their past, even though they may have committed a million sins.

But Mother, those who dont turn to God, dont find peace, even though they may

have a million virtues .

For Mother, we are all guilty of the greatest sin- of forgetting our true

nature and our oneness with God.

And that is the sin we are paying the price for, by being sent to this prison

called 'maya'.

Mother , arent we all in prison tday- imprisoned by our ego , with anger and

greed and hate as the iron bars on our cells?

Mother I long for the day when you will open the lock to my heart, and let my

soul fly free .

In your post and comments about the guy in prison you say:

<<<<<As you see, Michael, like

many men and women in prison, reveals the failure of the schools and

society to commit to basic literacy.>>>>

You mean, it's automatically the fault of the schools and the

teachers that this guy can't read? How can you make that assumption??

Do you know what efforts have been made in trying to get him and so

many like him to learn something in school? Maybe he was too lazy to

learn when he had the opportunity, or just didn't care, or maybe he

was too busy stealing and doing dope. This guy is in prison because

he did something BAD and now he is paying the price for it. He is no

innocent angel. Please don't try to blame everybody else - that is

naive, bleeding heart liberal BS. As an educator I know what teachers

are up against - and it is not a pretty picture. jm
