Guest guest
Namaste to all, I have 5-6 Tulasis (occimum sanctum - holy basil) plants at home and would like to know if Ammachi said/wrote anything about this pure devotee of God. It is very nice to have Her around me but it's very difficult to take care of Her in Canada. Thank you for any informations! Om Shanti! Guest guest
Namah Shivaya Mukunda, All I remember is that Mother said that Tulasi purifies the atmosphere (surroundings), and when I bought mine in San Ramon there was an instruction sheet with it that had special prayers one is to say to Tulasi daily while watering Her. I think it is great that yours seem to be doing well. Mine seems to be hanging in there in the California winter, which is, of course nothing like Canada, but also not like Kerala either! About 10 years ago I had a Tulasi plant that died in the Fall, even though we brought it inside. When I spoke with the person selling Tulasi plants and seeds in San Ramon in November he was amazed that ours was doing so well so late in the year. Ours is next to the window next to the puja, and we are taking good care of Her, hoping She will be with us next Summer.
