Does anyone think a benefit concert could be manifested? Praying Unceasingly, GeorgeSon The all-new My – What will yours do?

Guest guest
Namah Shivaya, Regarding Amma's visit to LA last summer, a swami remarked that although Hollywood movie stars were present, people were focussed on Amma. Maybe Sw. Dayamrita's or another swami's memory could be tapped for the names of the celebrities. Does anyone on this list know who was there? Also, perhaps some celebrities who haven't met Amma, could be approached. I had surgery on Jan. 10 and today is my first day back in the empirical world (as it were?) Yes Linda Evans participated in the Tacoma, Washington Retreat in 2004. I was giving out silverware to devotees during the evening Ammachi fed us with Her own hands. Linda Evans came up to me and took the napkin/silverware wrap and very sweetly said "thank you very much". For those of you are pre-baby boomer, Linda Evans was a star on the nightime soap opera Dynasty. We can safely assume that Linda is an ardent Amma devotee. She was a featured speaker at Big Birthday 50 and goes for darshan in San Ramon etc. I can assume Linda is very active without our coaxing. Does anyonme else in this group know of a potential concert drawing card? Please rack your brains on this. Guest guest
Namah Shivaya Sweta: Sorry for the delay in replying Sweta. Had mid to minor surgery on Jan. 10 and today is the first day I checked this list. Sweta wrote: Also, perhaps some "celebrities who haven't met Amma, could be approached" Please allow me to be extemporaneous. The mind feels that it is not celebrities per se but rather people who would attract paying customers to leave their homes and sit in a concert hall. Many celebreties lack this dynamic. Perhaps we could approach concert talent who appear to be Hindu/Buddhist oriented. Britney Spears? Guest guest
Jay Ma just a thought , i am totally not impressed with celebrities who most cashed in on cheesy hollywood movies without any retrospective on human values . I do not think that persona celebrity status moves Amma either , its of no importance a doctor who saves lives has more of celebrity stamina than most actors . When I was traveling in india one could hear the owe of such and such actor has such and such Guru . sometimes i just get tired of this media inspired crowds , wow michel jackson went to see Sai Baba , so who cares I have seen poor women with children on their backs make to the Amma's ashram who talks about them . Celebrity status per media is not a superb status to make my head turn around and say wow this actor is seeing this Guru that means something . regards, Joanna P --- leokomor <leokomor wrote: > > Ammachi, "one_tiny_atom" > <one_tiny_atom> > wrote: > > > > Namah Shivaya Atomji: > > Sorry for the long delay in responding.
