What She does everyday, with every person that She embraces, and how deep She touches that heart, ARE the miracles. Why is there a need to add to that? There always have been, and will always be humanitarians, but there never has been a loving being like Amma. Dear Lalita ~ I couldn't have said it better, and I couldn't agree more. Thank you for this wonderful and clarifying post. Jai Ma ~ Linda ~ P.S. You aren't by chance the same Lalita who lives in the DC area and knows my sister, MaryBeth, are you? Guest guest
Dear Nierika, No, I am Lalita from Fairfield, IA. A couple of more thoughts on the disservice being done: Here are Mother's words: "If you can stop insisting that others should respect and honour you, honour and respect will come to you unasked. Just try to be humble and patient "We should serve others without any expectations whatsoever. When others throw thorns at us, we should be able to throw flowers back at them. When they give us poison, we should give them payasam (sweet rice pudding). This is the kind of mind we should have. The purpose of serving the world is to develop that sort of mind." "Nowadays everybody wants to become a leader. No one wants to become a servant. In reality, the world is badly in need of servants, not leaders. A real servant is a real leader. A real leader is one who really serves the people without ego and egocentric desires. In fact, greatness is not in dress, and lordship is not in acquiring wealth. Real greatness lies in humility and simplicity." Somehow, Press Releases, letters explaining positions, ect... feel out of place. Are we forgetting Mother's words?
