Dear lalitarubin ~ actually, for the most part this type of thing fills very little of the literature or articles I have read about Amma. Most of it is in some very mundane, simple way that She teaches or gives example of something quite important, yet ordinary, such as caring for others, paying attention, purity of heart, etc. Much of the writing on Amma is about Her helping people in different ways. Perhaps I have done a disservice by focusing on Amma's miracles, and if so, I'm sorry. One of the most profound things I have ever experienced is the simple act of Amma feeding other people. Guest guest
- I hear your point of view and respect your opinion. There is nothing mundane about what is written on Amma: the Matruvani articles, Immortal Bliss, talks on tour, Swamis audio tapes, ect...share stories of omniscience, omnipresence, as well as humanitarism. What Amma knows or does not know effortlessly becomes the subject of our interpretation and speculation. That is our experience and that, like all experiences, comes and goes. There is no doubt that in the beginning, it fuels the devotion and inspires greatly to feel Her presence in our lives. It is the reason we have a question line after all, isn't it? But Mother tells us to go beyond that. I was pointing out to the fact that faith based on miracles and spiritual powers crumbles like a sand castle when the miracles stop happening or powers seem unreliable. The questions raised on this very site in the last few days attest to that... The disservice is to promote the miracles and put Mother in a position of having to explain herself when the miracles do not happen to the satisfaction of the people! What She does everyday, with every person that She embraces, and how deep She touches that heart, ARE the miracles. Why is there a need to add to that? There always have been, and will always be humanitarians, but there never has been a loving being like Amma. lalita -- In Ammachi, nierika@a... wrote: > > lalitarubin wrote: > > I think a great disservice is being done by those > around Her: credit, praises, and adoration are lavishly given to > Her and advertized when positive, uplifting, and even > miraculous events happen, making that the focus of most of the > written litterature, talks, ect... > > > > Dear lalitarubin ~ actually, for the most part this type of thing fills very > little of the literature or articles I have read about Amma.
