I am not sure abt eastern std time. but, u may calculate ur time from Greenwich

Mean Time (GMT). We start off at 4:30PM GMT.

It has been noticed that most of the devotees participating in the prayer group

seem to experience deep mediation within minutes of start of the session. some

continue beyond the 30min allotted. The few who rang me up, said that they have

not experienced such deep absorption in very long time.

Dear Arun ~ my mind is still boggled. What is IST and how does it relate to

United States timeframes? Does anyone know? I am on Mountain Time here. If you

could give the EST (Eastern Standard Time) the rest of the U.S. devotees

could figure out what their time would be. Thank you ~ Linda

1630 GMT (the 24-hour clock is always used with GMT)

is 11:30 AM EST.

Eastern standard time is 5 hours behind GMT (also

known as Coordinated Universal Time or UTC). For

central time subtract 6 hours from GMT, Mountain 7

hours, Pacific 8 hours. There is no daylight saving

time with GMT, so between April and October the

difference between EDT and GMT is 4 hours.

India, like Newfoundland, is in a half-hour time zone

so the entire country can be on a single time zone. As

far as I know, there's no daylight saving or summer

time in India. Indian Standard Time is 5.5 hours ahead

of GMT. So when it is midnight GMT, or 7 PM EST/8 PM

EDT, it's 5:30 AM in India.
