Guest guest Posted December 28, 2004 Report Share Posted December 28, 2004 I was directed here from the Amma live journal community because i was told there was a prayer group for the lost and the missing in Asia . and i am missing 2 old friends . But i am quite taken aback by the arguments here in Ammas house. y__y please do not argue I am a born a bred New Yorker. I was a NYC paramedic for over 10 years . I was at both WTC occurances in a work capacity ~ I went in 2001 after i left the service . I lost 13 friends that day . I have seen this in my life far too many times . Things at the WTC they just didnt tell you . You have no idea ... My best friend since I am 12 years old was one of those white dust covered people you saw on the news walking home.. she was feet from tower 2 as it went down She now has breathing problems I woke up for days saying "it didnt really happen It was a dream ...wasnt it ?" why why why i asked no answer and it wasnt a dream . So i prayed I presently spend part of my time in Japan. I find myself more at ease there ,just because spiritually, depsite the taboos and social infrastructure ...it is a more enlightend place than where I am now . and I have friends all over asia ... and Europe and the USA... I love them all but Japan is my heart (and AMMa has an ashram there ^__^_ Japan is hit by earthquakes weekly they get bigger and bigger ~ The 1995 quake killed thousands ... They are due for a big one as per the statistics . This makes me sick on a daily basis half my life and people i love are there.. Then NY is under constant threat of being annhilated on a damn weekly basis But what can i do ? what can anyone do does it matter if it is predicted ? if they bomb the Empire state building and gas the 5 boros-but someone tells us a day in advance will i rush off in a 4X4,and drive north as fast as i can ..with water and pop tarts ?! no-- i would stay and do what i had to do when it happens If i die here that is Gods will i am then on the other side ,to do what i have to do there .. But if it happend again here i would do what i did on 911 i'd go and volunteer to help .... and then I would pray Now 2 very old friends of mine are missing ~ I am sick with worry They are but 2 amongst thousands but they are my 2 ~ and i have kind of had my share of loss for this millenium i am hoping ~ but if they had to go hey , see you next time ! see you on the other side .. ! That would be Gods will I take death VERY hard i have to tell you ~ but when it is someones time that is all she wrote ... So one friend is in Malaysia and one is in Thailand. And to see Mothers house under water .. what a horrible shock~ But there is no WHY. Mother knows this ~ and there is no "it should have been predicted !!" Even the Pope allegedly knows the fate of the modern world ~ He is not allowed to tell. This begets self fullfulling prophecy ... which is usually worse than the actuality of it all .. so please do not fight This is ~nothing~ new It is like the song by Billy Joel: "We didnt start the fire its been always burning since the worlds been turning ~" This is the way of the world God knows why no one else this is tragic we are devastated but it is not our place to ask why and complain ~ It IS our place to just do what we can now, for those who are still here ~ and pray so please pray for my 2 friends along with the other 60,000+ Lai Siew Tiup and Jang Jang And I do not have ANY money just now i am the most broke i have ever been in my life.. But i will pack up all my old clothes and bring them to the Ashram in Flushing this week I suggest everyone else does the same ~ Sri Lanka needs clothes they are saying. Just give where you can.
