Guest guest
I think we are just all very upset at the atrocity that happened and we can't explain it. Amma is our Mother, and we are all her children. When something bad happens we naively wish our mother knew and could have prevented it. Who are we to know? It is very sad that such an atrocity happened. It hurts our hearts to see such suffering in the world. It shakes us to the core. However, we should never doubt Amma's love. She could not have prevented this earthquake from happening and it pains her greatly to see all the suffering, She did not wish for it we have to believe that. As spiritual people we think that bad things can not happen to good people. We want that to be the truth, but it is not. The first noble truth of the Buddha is that there is suffering. And right now there is a lot of suffering. Amma's message is that it our job to be like Amma and help alleviate suffering as much as we can, selflessly. I feel helpless watching the TV and reading the news. I am a student and I have debts and no money to send there and I feel like I can do nothing and it hurts me. I am so fortunate, my worries are over frivolous things. I have never, thank God, known hunger, I have always had Love, and shelter and clothing and everything every human being should have. I can offer only my prayers from the deepest part of my heart, I can offer only my surrender to Amma and to Amma's will. I offer my prayer to alleviate the suffering of all those who passed and all those suffering now who have lost their families, who are hungry, who are seeing such bad things I pray I never have to experience. I pray to alleviate their suffering, to send them some comfort. It is not my place to know why such atrocities happened. It shakes me and pains me, as it does all of us, Mother's children, and I offer my heart in surrender to Amma. LOVE, dana
