And then, when we fully feel what is boiling within us, we pray deeply for mother to see and love us, just as we are. We feel Ammas love right in the middle of our full "muck- ness". That is the thing! Dear Alexander ~ oh my, you really said it all ... and all so true ... I've been on this journey a long time ~ discovering the pain and rage of an abused child, fully feeling it; fully feeling the pain of my own vulnerability to be taken advantage of and not always knowing the difference between that and true giving; fully feeling the my own capacity for meanness; fully feeling the hole in my heart. I like what you say about praying for Amma to love us in our "muckness." That indeed IS the thing. Jai Ma ~ Linda

That indeed IS the thing. Jai Ma ~ Linda I remember the first time it truly hit me that She sees *all* of us, including our flaws and our shortcomings and our weaknesses and our darkness...and, still, She loves us, so very perfectly. Perhaps it's not even that we need to pray for Her to love us in this state, but that we need to experience within ourselves that She already does, and always has...or perhaps we need to experience that this state of love is not separate from us, essentially. I keep thinking of that line from the English version of "Iswari Jagadiswari," that says: "Clouded by the veil of maya, Only what is true remains" Namah Shivaya, Iswari
