Dear Parvati ~ welcome, welcome to the Ammachi group, and thank you so much for the above. Of course, now I will really get confused, since I also belong to both groups. (Just kidding) The fact that you chant before you go to work with these children is wonderful, and I am sure they benefit. The parents may be the first guru for the children, but for some children, this is a horrible and sometimes life-threatening experience. So it is as you said, and as the African proverb says: "It takes a village to raise a child."
