If someone is meant to find Amma, he/she will find her Dear Mike and ALL ~ did no one read what Aikya said about the first man who started off the prison project. He was already an Amma devotee. The other three had become Amma devotees because of him, not because of the letter writing. They were added to the list to write to because hey are hungry to hear about Amma, to read about Her, to see Her pictures. This is not converting or prosletyzing; it is meeting a need that is already there. I have not hear Aikay mention one person in the prison writing program that did not already know about Amma. Can we let this rest. The people who want to participate will; those who don't wont. But there is no converting going on here. I wouldn't be part of it, if there were. Guest guest
Amma wants people to know about her. Here in the States, Rob Sidon gets all the publicity he can when Amma comes to a city. Going and speaking to groups about Amma, if they want you to speak to them, putting up posters and other publicity, getting media coverage - all of these things are in tune with Amma's wishes. Once these people do hear about her and come to see her, does she try to convert them? The very term is absurd with reference to Amma. What would she convert them to? She merely wants to inspire and uplift them. Did you ever hear her tell anyone they had to believe such-and-such or they would go to hell? As far as I can tell, she has no desire to change anyone's religion, lifestyle, etc. She just wants people to be happier and move closer to God in whatever way suits them. on 12/9/04 4:22 PM, nierika at nierika wrote: > > > Mike wrote: > > Let's leave the prosletyzing > to the Christians, Hare Krishnas, and Lubavitchers. > If someone is meant to find Amma, he/she will find her > > > Dear Mike and ALL ~ did no one read what Aikya said about the first man who > started off the prison project.
