Guest guest
Here are my imperfect notes of Amma's remarks that followed Sw. Dayamrita's talk on 11/20 in San Ramon: It's good to relax periodically and let go of our burdens while we're here. Of course some people like to worry, so you can also choose to worry while you're here:). Meditation gives us peace of mind. In order to receive God's grace, we need to become humble. Amma says our greatest work is love and compassion. Ego is the root cause of all destruction. The troublemakers of negativity have broken into our hearts and stolen our peace of mind. Sorrows are caused by (1) Brooding, and (2) Bad actions. Don't lose your enthusiasm and optimism. There is always a morning after a night. The real problem is ego, which causes anger. Anger is like a computer virus in that it destroys what is valuable. This earth is our mother. The beauty of our eyes is in seeing goodness. The beauty of our ears is in listening to others' problems. The beauty of our hands is in serving others. (Not sure about whether that last one is exactly what she said.) Love endures everything, and turns ugliness into beauty. Attachment to Amma's form is the bond that breaks all bonds. In Sanatan Dharma there is no difference between the Creator and the creation. We should learn to love everyone equally. Love is our real life's savings. Love is the foundation of a lhappy life. May we become lamps shedding light for the world. Guest guest
Dear Jyotsna, thank you so very much for being the scribe Amma gives us, and doing the service of taking notes, and then posting them for us to read. I want to say that I appreciate it, ( and you ), a lot. This message of Amma's you posted was just what I needed to read after a very rough couple of days with my physical health. Thanks again.
