This was my experience too when I first when to see Amma at Amritapuri. At the time I was thinking that maybe Amma was a fraud and seeing all these westerners, I had concerns that this was some sort of a cult or something. All my doubts vanished(at least for some time) when I sat down for Bhajans with Amma and whenever she raises her hands up during bhajans, I felt a sudden jolt through my body - I dont know how else to describe it.
