Amma¹s Chakras

A friend of mine who was at the Michigan program reports the following

experience:

Amma¹s Chakras

It is amazing to look at Amma¹s chakras‹this is what I saw. Starting from

the bottom, her muladhara gives infinite stability and grounded strength, as

if she is rooted in mother earth itself. Swadisthana is the source of

unlimited Shakti and creativity. Truly her reservoir of energy is

inexhaustible from there. Manipura has the fire of agni digesting and

burning all the karmas of her devotees. She eats our sins the way others eat

food. Then we come to her truly unbounded anahata, oh how lovely. Extending

out over the whole world, the petals of her lotus are soft and alive with

great rivers of love, flowing everywhere, soothing and delighting everyone

she knows. It is as if she is hugging all the people¹s hearts all the time,

with her own heart-petals. Something very mysterious happens in Amma¹s

visudhi. First I saw her singing voice, but then like Siva, she seems to be

swallowing poison. Her throat is blue and swollen with the evils of the

world. All-seeing is Amma¹s ajna chakra, brilliant and piercing like a

diamond. She knows everything. On top, her Sahasrara is a huge golden

crown lighting the world with Consciousness and Bliss. She is Devi.

Hi Rick,

What does this mean?

It is just a baeutiful imagination of your friend, or is it

something (s)he could actually "see" when (s)he saw Amma's body?

If the latter, what spiritual exercises has he undergone to be able

to "see" so? Also, what is the level of attainment of that person?

Any more details on him are also welcome. Thanks!

Jai Ma!

I am not qualified to comment on the genuineness of her experience, but to

her it is genuine, and I give her the benefit of the doubt. She has been

meditating since she was a teenager (about 35 years), including many years

of courses in which she meditated most of the day. Even now, her spiritual

practices take hours every day. By her account, she is well established in

Pure Consciousness. For example, she has been been witnessing sleep

(maintaining Pure Consciousness during sleep and all other states) for

decades. There are many people like this in Fairfield (Iowa), but most do

not have subtle perception this clear. She also has a 13 year old son who

has all kinds of subtle perception.

Dear Rick:

Thanks very much for sharing this. It seems very plausible; I know of

a very advanced SriVidya upasak(who has attained direct darshan of

Devi) who told me that Amma was Devi Herself. I think most people

(including myself) have no idea of the true extent of Amma's being.

Regarding being fully aware sleep consciousness, this is

called "Lucid Dreaming"(also known as Tibetan sleep Yoga) and is the

topic of intense research at several top universities. Even for those

who dont have dream consiousness, there is a simple thing to do -

time your alarm in the middle of the night (when you are deep asleep)

to wake you up and then when you go back to sleep, you have full

consciousness during the dream (or at least will have good recall of

the dream after waking up). Now the odd part is that whenever I have

done this, I notice that most dreams are invariably Amma dreams.

I've heard of lucid dreaming, and it may be the same as witnessing sleep, or

related to it, but witnessing sleep as I understand and occasionally

experience it is maintenance of Pure Consciousness during sleep, which may

be deep, dreamless sleep or dreaming. It's the same as maintaining it during

the waking state. When one awakens to Self, it becomes a permanent

substratum of all states of consciousness. Of course one realizes that It

has always been that, but now it is self-evident.

Namah Shivaya Rick, Yogaman and others,

thans for these beautiful emails. Yes as Yogaman says we have no clue of Amma's

true infinitude. I also know of a person who has been a Devi upsaka for many

many years, who had visions of Devi when the person first saw Amma.

But i must say that we are lucky indeed. Lucky that , in spite of not being

able to see Amma's chakras or not being able to see any vision, we still feel

that Amma is Devi. By Her grace, we have faith( at least to some extent) in Her

Divinity.

Thats because even though we ack the subtle perception to see chakras, or are

undeserving of any visions, Amma has made sure that we can feel the one

unmistakable sign of Her divinity- Her perfect Love.

Namahshivaya Bala,

As for I know Amma is the one who draws the chakras in people life, so how

can we find chakras in Amma.No doubt Amma is a devine mother who embraces

her children with pure love. In my first visit I asked her something (it is

personal) still she didn't consider me.I don't know how many years she wants

to test me.I have no plans to have another birth.Because of my personal

problems I couldn't come to Nov.Retreat.I would like to know how was it.I

am really missing her a lot.

How can we find fingers on Amma? People have fingers. People have chakras.

The latter are just harder to perceive.

Namah Shivaya.

Dear Sunandaji.

Perhaps it was only a divine mistake so the rest of us could offer our

support to our otherwise silent brother.

I¹m sorry that you couldn¹t come to the retreat and that feel so much

longing for our beloved Amma.

Amma was so generous, giving darshan to so many for a long time.

And Balaji and some other other mons sang the most wonderful song to Amma

almost at the end of Devi Bhava. You should ask him for the words. Amma was

smiling at them a lot as they sang.

I hope you can feel Her loving presence in and all around you and that you

will write us more and let us support you.

In Amma¹s grace,

premrupa

Aum Amriteshvaryai Namah
