Guest guest
Namah Shivayah to all Just got back from the first MI program. It was very nice. The hall is beautiful and the people at this hotel are SO welcoming and helpful! In fact, the hotel manager even went up for darshan...that is, of course, after he and his assistant garlanded Amma! So friendly and helpful. Anyway, the bhajans were like a cool breeze -- just the kind of breeze that is blowing tonight here in snowy MI. They were not the usual high-energy bhajans, but nice and soft and cool. One interesting personal story: There was a newcomer tonight who is deaf. All night I was watching her, and she especially loved the bhajans!! She was dancing in her chair and smiling. It was heartwarming to see that even though she can't hear the music, she still "gets" the bhajans. Beautiful! I got an early darshan token and came home a bit early to prepare for tomorrow's Thanksgiving feast. By Amma's grace... It is purely by Amma's grace that this child survived the day, as the traffic nearly killed me!! I was picking up devotees from the airport, and it was very very congested. But, I got a great chanting CD in return for a ride. Not a bad tradeoff is you ask me! JAI MA With love, Erica HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
