Particulary for those who receive digests. "Re: Digest number ----" is useless as a subject line, as the digest contains several topics. If you want to continue posting about the jailed Shankaracharya, I would suggest adding [shankaracharya] in the subject line, so those who don't want to read about this topic can delete the messages unopened. Also, please remember to trim quoted matter when replying to posts and delete excess text that is not related to your reply. It can be a time-consuming drag to have to scroll through long lines of previously-sent text, several rows of >'s, and even regurgitated tag lines. Remember that some of us may have obsolete computers (I know at least one person who still uses a 486!), slow dial-up connections, or limited time online at a public library or internet cafe.
