Namah shivaya

I am sorry- please ignore this email below,. My friends who were also nearby

, when we were having this conversation say I have interpreted Amma's words

rather strongly. They say that Amma did not venture a strong opinion, but rather

was talking about the degradation of society in general. They say i interpreted

Amma's words 'too strongly'.

Well, may be i was wrong. Sorry about this. This shows how careful we have to

be in reporting other's words. so i shall shut up on this topic.

Regarding signing of the petition, they say some Amma devotees signed a

petition- but that was of their own volition, and NOT at Amma's behest. Amma

did NOT ask them to sign anything!

and they say that Amma did not say anything specific about the shankaracharya

case in particluar, but merely mentioned it in a general context of saying other

things about society.

well! !!

so much for my interpretation!

if i hear any further clarification i shall let you know.

meanwhile, really sorry once again. please ignore/delete/forget my previous

email.

henceforth I shall try to shut up and not open my mouth until i have made

doubly sure.

Dear Ajith

Please dont be hasty. I TALKED TO AMMA HERE LAST NIGHT AND SHE TOLD ME THAT SHE

FEELS THAT SHANKARACHARYA IS INNOCENT and that She is against the way he was

arrested, and Amma has even been asking some indian devotees to write to their

organisations/ religious groups in ptition for his release.

I was fortunate to do lap seva last night here at San ramon, and during Lap seva

She told me that She feels that He did not instigate the murder that he is being

charged with.

To me, Amma's words are sacrosanct and I shall soon sign a petition for the

acharya's release.

and being Amma's devotees, i encourage all Her other children on this list who

feel this is relevant to them to do the same.

I first was not going to sign any petition , not wanting to involve myself in a

'non- Amma' matter, but Amma's words last night were strong.

Dear Sisters & Brothers,

I think sankaracharya is guilty and he must be punished. But it will be

confirmed in coming days. And if he did not do any wrong it is politically

motivated and must be protested. Infront of Indian law everybody is same, either

Hindu or Muslim or Christian. Or Hindu guru or Muslim imam or Christian priest.

Yes I know its not happening in all cases. but it may be start.

Namah Shivaya.

I agree that we have to remember not to get into discussions of politics and

other spiritual teachers on this list. As strongly as many of us may have

felt about the recent US election process,

we did not bring it here.

Why should we discuss this here?

As far as what Amma says, especially in private, this child got herself in

BIG TROUBLE last year discussing something that supposedly Amma had said

that was very dramatic. Started noticing that this ego loved the attention

it was getting with what began to feel more and more like gossip.

Eventually, decided it was meant only for the ears to whom She delivered

it. She¹ll say one thing to one person and the exact opposite to another,

depending on what¹s best for their spiritual growth. I like to remember

Swamiji¹s advice and reflect on Amma¹s words that reach me, whether in a

book, at a program, to someone else or directly. Only then can the spiritual

meaning surface and the mind¹s interpretations fall away.

In Amma¹s grace,

premarupa
