She makes rules, but She also destroys them, everything could happen. To me, receiving the name was the same as a baptism (but this is my personal opinion, how I felt it). Dear Carla ~ it is my fondest wish to be able to see Amma this year when She comes to Santa Fe. I cannot see Her during her November tour. But I do intend to ask her for a name, if that is what you are referring to. You had many challenging and wonderful experiences during Amma's visit. Yes, I know She purifies us, and therein lie our challenges. She also loves us and gives us unexpected gifts that are beyond measure, such as the hair and the rose. Once when I went to a retreat in Rhode Island, I was very tired on the late afternoon of Devi Bhava, so I went back to my dorm room to sleep. I fell into a very deep sleep, even though I wanted very much to attend Devi Bhava. Then, in my sleep, I heard chanting/singing and Amma calling me (my dorm room was nowhere near the Hall). So I woke up abruptly and saw that it was not too late for me to get to Devi Bhava. How marvelous is that! ... Amma coming to me in a dream so I wouldn't miss it.
