Amma in Italy - report of my experience

Italy’s program finished just the day before yesrterday. Also this year

Mother showered Her Grace upon us. I just wanted to say how beautiful it

was. During these last three days, something strange happened to me: I

remembered things with the idea they happened the day before, but I quickly

realised they had happened during the last year program! It was as if

nothing has happened in between, not because of a void in my life, I never

got bored this past years, but I had the impression that the only really

important thing is being with Amma.

I worked hard, the same of all the other sevaites (200 for Italian program):

minimum 8 hours working (first two days all day long....), sleeping only

less than 2 hours the first two nights, 4 on the second and none on Devi

Bhava night, eating once a day or less, not feeling tiredness - only some

moments, but recovering by sitting near Amma a little. Once a friend of mine

told me she is not interested in Mahatmas because such Gurus live stealing

our energies...... well I can see it is exactly the opposite.... usually I

cannot go on only so small food and sleep....

The satsangs were very interesting, but it was no news for me, as I had

already listened to them in Svitzerland (I was there too, where I worked

little and enjoyed the programs), they were mostly the same, only a couple

of “stories” changed. But the bhajans!!! WOW. First night they were

beautiful, second night wonderful (Ram Bolo, Main Khadi, Jinki Karuna, Lord

of Vrindavan....) and the third night..... much more than wonderful. It’s

very difficult for me to convey the feeling because of the language, I could

say you could “explode”. They were so powerful. I noticed that, as Italian

people are generally “more warm” than, for example, German or Swiss people,

bhajans are stronger. On Devi Bhava night they played new bhajans – a new

version of Michael Jackson song (if I understood it correct) in different

languages, a lady coming from France sang very powerful and devotional. Many

of us were struck from the energy coming from those bhajans. Wonderful,

wonderful, wonderful....... The program is held in Palasesto, it is an

ice-skating venue, but I can assure you it was not cold at all. The

athmosphere was really hot! Many were dancing. It was also very funny,

because at the beginning a young man began to sing with a girl’s voice and

everyone was looking to see who was (me too, because I always want to see

who sings and plays...). We all began to laugh and Amma also stopped a

second to watch and laugh!

Children prepared a cloth panel with a painting of them together with Amma,

all made of cloth, very sweet and Amma showed interest.

Amma wore a beautiful sari, beije, gold and red.

The first day was a mess, it was Sunday, too many people (and we could not

offer a good service), some had even no choice of having a darshan. Morning

program finished at past 4 p.m., night program at 4:30 am, both more than

2500 people. But.... I didn’t this witness personally because of seva....

but a friend of mine told me that at the end of the morning program she saw

Amma pointing to people sitting far away; Brahmachari went and brought them

to Amma, who gave them Darshan. It happened they were all people who had

never had darshan from Amma..... OM.....

Monday a little less people and we sevaites were called by Amma to have

darshan! On Tuesday, Devi Bhava finished at 9:45 next day with marriages and

baptesims. They gave out more than 4500 darshan tokens but some more people

had darshan without. Not much compared to the 6.000 given out last year.

 

Some weeks ago in Switzerland I asked Amma my first direct question in 9

years (she usually talks to me through books). If my mother had to be

operated at the right knee?: she could not walk or move the knee any more

because of arthrosis and meniscuses and she was very worried because 4 over

5 doctors had told her she would not recover completely anyway, she really

didn’t know what to do. Amma answered she could but must follow doctor’s

instructions. My mother still has pain but she can walk now....... without

operation.....

I also asked with no words to help me get rid of a continuous thought that

made me suffer a lot in the past years and from that darshan I don’t have

that feeling any more, what a Grace! A spiritual healing.
