Dear brother Vijay, Mantras are prescribed by Masters for the effect it creates within you and in the environment it is chanted. And the effective of the mantra depends on the mantra siddhi of the one chanting it. (Mantra siddhi happens when u realise ur oneness with the mantra) Maha Mritunjaya Mantra belong to that class of mantras that has can generate an immediate positive atmosphere where ever it is chanted. it generates peace in the envt. the positive energy generated removes the blocks in the nadis (nerve channels) in the subtle body, enhancing the healing process within the body. regular practice of this mantra strengthens the nerves and generates a more radiant aura. anyone practicing Maha Mritunjaya has healing effect on all those who interact with him. he will be capable of transmitting the energy to others, and healing the sick. But, dear brother Vijay, lemme put it straight, there is NO MANTRA in this universe more effective than the GURU MANTRA. why? bcoz the Guru has already transmitted a part of Her energy to you, enabling u to use this mantra more effectively. this energy is also accompanied by the Guru's resolve that can change ur inner self more faster than any other mantra. You can never say enough of the greatness of the Guru mantra. Amma might have recomended this mantra. but, the question is, has Amma recommended this mantra to YOU?? You may try digging as many holes as u want. but, why all this unnecesary effort when the Guru has already dug a deep hole for you?! Namah Sivaya!
