I rescued a tiny orange kitten with a white chest and white paws, and was strongly reminded of Amma. The kitten even smelled like Amma, and was so affectionate, playful and adorable. I just felt like the kitten and Amma were one, like Amma in kitten-bhava! There was some crazy disaster (riots, earthquake?), and I was running down Wilshire Blvd. in Los Angeles, huge buildings collapsing behind me, all the while holding the kitten close to me. It was a striking contrast between the mass destruction going on around me and this furry, cuddly Amma-kitten, whom I was melting for. I ran under some kind of shelter, and suddenly felt Her arms around my back, a backward darshan, and I and the kitten all seemed to dissolve.
