I am posting this for someone who read Kenna's post and wanted to

respond.:

 

 

 

Kalika's delineations of the degrees at which different planets

become combust are much greater than the ones I am familiar with.

For instance, I understand Mercury to be combust when it is at 2

degrees from the Sun rather than 14. In any case, I don't think

Kenna should look to the current conjunction of those planets to

explain his/her current issues. Unless Virgo is a significant sign

in his/her own chart, the transit of those planets shouldn't have

anymore effect on him/her than on the rest of the world. Not all of

us are experiencing toxic levels of stress on the job. Even if Virgo

is significant for Kenna, I am not at all convinced of the efficacy

of looking to transits to explain the roots of daily events (or at

least, I'm no good at doing it). I just think that combustion is

something you should consider more when looking at a natal chart, or

when choosing the time to start something. A child born when Mars is

combust may very well have the issues described by Kalika, but not

all of us are going to experience them every time the Sun passes by

Mars. Frankly Kenna's problems sound connected to an afflicted

Mercury in the natal chart being manifested through a bhukti

subperiod. I believe that Amma has astrologers at San Ramon or

Amritapuri who will take short questions by letter for a small fee.

If Kenna feels that he/she is dealing with a negative astrological

force, then he/she should find out exactly what that force is and

then follow one or more of the remedies described in jyotish:

chanting the appropriate mantra, wearing the appropriate gemstone,

and/or commissioning a puja through Amma's temple.

I think you might be confusing this little atom with another list member

since I don¹t usually discuss personal issues on here. Though what you

shared may actually be relevant to this one with virgo rising and almost

conjunct with mercury and jupiter according to the western system.
