Guest guest
Dear Prajna Your dream is profound. The words you choose 'Kitten bhava' are very appropriate- In hindu scriptures there are supposed to be two main attitudes the disciple can take- the 'Monkey bhava' or the 'kitten bhava'. The baby monkey clings on to its mother , while the mother monkey jumps from tree to tree. If the baby monkey loses its hold, it will fall to the ground and perhaps die. But in the case of the kitten , it is different. It does not cling - the Mother cat takes the kitten in its mouth and carries it wherever it goes. Thus the disciple with 'kitten bhava' is one who simply has to surrender and wait . The monkey bhava refers more to self effort- the baby does the clinging part. I guess Amma was showing you that She has you in Her arms , just as the Mother cat carries its kitten in its mouth, so just relax and surrender. This does not mean that we shouldnt put in our part . Yes the monkey business ( self effort ) has to go on, but our inner attitude should be like that of the kitten, i guess. Thanks for your mail- actually it came in a perfect moment for me too . bala Brianna Mosteller <rubyrapunzel wrote: Om Namah Shivayah! Amma dreams are contagious! Had an unusual one last night. I just felt like the kitten and Amma were one, like Amma in kitten-bhava! There was some crazy disaster (riots, earthquake?), and I was running down Wilshire Blvd. in Los Angeles, huge buildings collapsing behind me, all the while holding the kitten close to me. It was a striking contrast between the mass destruction going on around me and this furry, cuddly Amma-kitten, whom I was melting for. I ran under some kind of shelter, and suddenly felt Her arms around my back, a backward darshan, and I and the kitten all seemed to dissolve. At that point I woke up, to find myself cuddling my Amma doll in the same way I had been holding the kitten! love, Prajna ===== sarvabhauma_yoga/ Aum Amriteswarayai Namaha! Guest guest
As Bala said this is no ordinary dream and your choice of words is pretty amazing.Monkey bhava and kitten bhava are the two prominent philosophical streams of Srivaishnavism and Amma says one should have the kitten bhava. -yogaman > Om Namah Shivayah! > > Amma dreams are contagious! Guest guest
Om Namah Shivaya! Hello brothers & sisters, I had a dream too. There was this monster who apparantly was gobbling everybody who goes near it.That part of the dream was not very clear but I was clearly afraid to go and i remember the terror so i kept telling my fellow devotee who happened to be a male to go first."He said i am not afraid , i will go." As soon as he got close to the monster. it picked up this guy and made him a badge and stuck him on his chest and then the monster got up and i told the others let us run it is coming our way. I started running but i have become so fat and short ( lately i have been stuffing myself with food to fill my desire for happiness) and it felt like i was crawling on all four and i wasn't fast enough and the monster caught up with me and picked me up and i stared in terror at the monster and it was Amma. Guest guest
Pranakca: I had a dream too. There was this monster who apparantly was gobbling everybody who goes near it. ---------- It has been a long time since I delved into dreams, but if I remember correctly, each person in the dream is part of you. So, your masculine side has enormous courage and challenges "monsters" quite effectively! Aum Amriteswarayai Namaha! Kandar
