Guest guest
Dear OTA, Is it not healthy to question? I seek guidance from my elder siblings in Amma as I am not quite to your level (or beloved Ambujam's!) and with each answered question, I get closer. Guest guest
It is ok to question as long as the pursuit is to reach a stage of no questioning eventually. But I get astonished at people making statements like Amma harms, Amma scares, Amma gouges. I thought the membership in this list would at least imply a certain faith in Amma and her work and the list is dedicated to discussing spiritual problems faced everyday, Amma's message, satsang issues etc. I mean the list should be focussed on how we can change ourselves using Amma's example rather blaming everyone else for our problems. One person even had the gall to say she gets drunk regularly but is disturbed by the negativity in the list, hello ? Where is the negativity in the list, I don't see it but I do see lot of negativity in me. - Erica Ammachi Tuesday, September 28, 2004 7:06 AM Re: Questioning Dear OTA, Is it not healthy to question? Guest guest
Namah Shivaya, Regarding Amma's very darling daughter who got drunk, I am so grateful that Amma meets and fully loves each of us right where we are, and is here to help us through all of our difficulties. I appreciate our sister's honesty, which sure beats hypocrisey. Thankfully, we can't hide anything from Amma! Concerning the earlier homeless comment. I've known people who lived in huge houses, whose hearts seemed bankrupt. Currently I work in a homeless shelter, and even now, there is a woman there who I consider wealthy because of her beautiful spiritual nature. Even Amma was homeless, but the Universe provided for Her. Wouldn't it be better to be physically homeless, yet have Amma alive & well in our hearts? We're going to leave these bodies & possessions behind anyway. But, on a material level Amma has helped me a great deal. She advised me about a legal settlement through which I was being threatened, and I received over $5,000 from it. She advised me to decline a job and said it wasn't worth it, since it was only temporary. I rescinded my acceptance & two weeks later, the same employer offered me a full time, permanent job with the first benefits I had in almost two years. Amma's advice led me to stay in high priced northern California, when I was packing to move in with a relative in the midwest and had already given notice to my landlord. Very soon after that I discovered a nicer place, that cost 1/3 less than my previous rental, even though I couldn't find a less expensive rental after many months of searching. While this single parent was working weekends only, after Amma said She wanted me to go to Amritavarshan 50, I discovered a notice to sign for a check valued at over $1,000, (more than enough to pay for the flight) at the post office before I even got home from seeing Amma. Amma is taking wonderful care of me & my little family. Sweta Ravi Bharadwaj <ravibharadwaj wrote: It is ok to question as long as the pursuit is to reach a stage of no questioning eventually.
