My tree

I would like to share a story with all of you.This story was told to us by a

friend.

Tan, a Vetnamese immigrant worked very hard to earn his money.He came home

tired most days. His passion was gardening. He saved enough money to buy a tree

he had seen at the nursery. He had fallen in love with the little tree and he

wished to grow it in his yard and take care of it. Finally he was able to get

the tree.He brought it home planted it and took care of it. Everyday he would

come back from work, talk to the tree, water it , tend to it. This went on for a

while until the tree went missing. It seemed it had walked out of his yard.

He was sad but he was curious to know where his tree had gone.

He started walking around the neighborhood looking at trees.One day he did see

his little tree and it was in his neighborhood. The house was about 20 houses

away from his house. He was happy to see his tree. It was healthy. It was alive.

He went home and wrote a letter to the owner of the home where his tree was. The

letter went like this.

Hello there,

I do not know your name and you do not know me but a few days ago, a tree went

missing from my yard. I loved that tree. I worked very hard to get that tree and

I was sad when it disappeared but now I am happy that I found it. I am happy

that it is alive. I am happy that is well looked after.

Although it is not in my yard, I am happy to know that someone else loves the

tree too.God knows where the tree is, I know where the tree is and you know

where the tree is.I am really happy for my tree that it has a new home.

He went home happy that his tree was still alive. That night at 2 a.m. there was

a knock on his door. He opened the door to a stranger holding his tree.The

stranger said " Here is your tree. I do not know why I took it. I am sorry."

Now these two have become good friends.
