All I know > is it fell in the > ocean. > Given the earth's land/water ratio, even without any prayers there was a 70% chance of Skylab falling into the ocean. As I recall, Skylab fell out of orbit in the summer of 1979. What a brutal year '79 was: Jimmy Carter's inspirational gems about a "crisis of confidence" and a "malaise", the Iranian hostage crisis, Three Mile Island, god-awful disco music, the heyday of the Volare, Aspen, Pacer, and other horrid cars, not to mention leisure suits and other horrid late-70s fashions. 1980 sucked even worse IMHO! Of course who knew about Amma back in 1979-80, except for her immediate family and a handful of devotees in Kerala.
