Namah Shivaya,

Many people have mentioned "disconnected" over the last week. Hope

this story helps to re-connect to Amma. I mean, help us to realize

the existing connection :)

For those of us who have a regular 'discipline' of sadhana, the

connection is always clear. It is only those who do 'ad-hoc' sadhana,

who experience these feelings sometimes (atom included).

Three things generally help: association with other devotees,

listening to Amma's songs/video and reading stories.

For all my online siblings, with love.

from Awaken Children Vol I

At about four-thirty, a devotee named Srinivasan from Bangalore came

to see the Holy Mother. Though he had been working as a doctor in the

United States for the last ten years, he had retained the deep-rooted

devotion to Lord Krishna which he had had since childhood. He had

just arrived from the States the previous day. Inspired by a recent

dream, he had come to see the Holy Mother. Balu was curious to know

more about the dream, but thought it improper to inquire before the

devotee had a chance to discuss it with Mother.

At five the doctor was called to the Mother's hut. Balu noticed his

face beaming and shining when he beheld the Mother's form. His whole

body was trembling and his eyes were filling with tears. Mother

tenderly wecomed him and made him sit hear her. After some formal

inquiries, Mother asked him, "Son, tell mother what you want to say."

Controlling his emotions, Srinivasan said, "It was a vision rather

than a dram. I had not met or even heard about Mother when this

vision took place. The striking thing was that the vision took place

in the airplane, on the flight over to India. I had a window seat.

For a long time, I gazed at the sky and changed my mantra. As I was

chanting the mantra, I slowly glided into a semi-sleeply mood. Then,

in the sky appeared a strong effulgence which slowly assumed a form.

To my wonderment I found that it was the beautiful form of my Beloved

Lord Sri Krishna. I was really thrilled and felt that each and every

cell of my body was dancing in bliss.

As I was drinking in the beauty of my Lord, there appeared just

beside Him another equally radiant and splendid glow. That glow

assumed the form of a lady wrapped in pure white clothes with a

beaming smile on her face. Her nose ring sent forth rays which

blinded my eyes. It seemed as if two suns had appeared in the sky at

the same time. My mind soared up to the heights of supreme bliss.

Actually I could not contain the tremendous amount of bliss which I

felt. Both of them were dark blue in hue and both smiled at me. A few

moments passed thus when Krishna turned to the woman, who was still

smiling at me, and pointed His finger towards her.

As He remained in that position, both of them vanished from my sight.

I suddently woke up, I was still enjoying the bliss and was quite

sure that it wasn't a dream, but a vision. Even the semi-sleepy mood

was felt by me as a created circumstance for this divine drama to

take place. I knew that it was a hint asking me to do something. But

who is this woman, I thought?

My eagerness to know the significance of this dream became so intense

that I could not eat or sleep during the whole trip. All my thoughts

were focused only on the vision. It was a sixteen hour flight, but

nothing else entered my mind. "The next morning at eleven o'clock I

reached home. My parents and my elder brother warmly welcomed me with

open arms. In spite of all their love and affection, my mind was

agitated. The vision became more and more clear in my mind,

especially the smiling face of the woman. I wondered,'What is this?

I'm a devotee of Krishna, but instead of being attracted to His

divine form, this lady's face is overpowering me.' My parents and

elder brother noticed my strange mood and as I felt really confused,

I could not give them a satisfactory explanation. I was doing

everything more or less mechanically. When I entered the room, whcih

they had arranged for me, I felt wonderstruck. Pasted on the wall was

a picture of the same woman who apeared in the dream. Overwhelmed

with joy, I turned to my parednts and asked, 'Who is this

lady?''People say she is God,' answered my elder brother.

He continued, 'I found this picture in one of the newspapers and felt

a strange attraction to it. This room was occupied by me until

yesterday evening. For your convenience I moved to another one.'

Rejoicing at heart, I requested him to tell me more about her.

"This is how I came to be here,Mother. Please tell me what it is that

I am to do? I am yours, please guide me. Bless me by giving me

implicit faith and devotion."

Mother: Mother is really happy to see your innocence. This is

something very difficult to achieve. Even though you have been living

in the midst of worldly pleasures, you were able to maintain devotion

and faith. It is that innocent devotion and faith which caused all

this. Keep up this attitude and that is enough for you to progress in

spiritual life. Child, remember that Mother is always with you.

He cried like a small child keeping his head on Mother's lap. The

Mother, with great affection and love, caressed him. Srinivasan left

the Ashram at seven o'clock after he had paid his homage to the Holy

Mother and requested her to be in his heart always.
