It seems to me that since Dayamrita Swami knows about it and has passed it on to us, surely the Swamis who are connected to the other Indian ashrams must also know what's going on. in Amma, Amalia Ôm Amriteswaryai Namah
Guest guest
Dear Amalia, Actually, it was reported on this list that Dayamrita Swami said that Amma was talking only to westereners about this. Then Bala added that she had informed the residents of Amritapuri. Perhaps her Indian swamis know, but I haven't heard that she has told the millions of Indian devotees to pray about this. If Dayamrita said Amma is talking only to westerners (and a few others) then I believe that. If Amma says catastrophe may strike, unfortunately I also believe that. If prayers help, why not the prayers of all Her children? That is my question. (With Her new tv channel, it would be so easy to spread the word!) Thanks in Amma, Jyotsna Amalia Darling <AmaliaDarling wrote: << Would you feel comfortable asking Dayamrita Swami why the great mass of Indian devotees haven't been told this and reporting his answer back on this list?>> Dear Jyotsna, Where did this idea come from, that the Indian devotees haven't been informed? Guest guest
Jay Ma I am just curious why none of the info about Amma's predictions is not posted on Amma.org ? Guest guest
Dear Jyotsna and other listers, Jyotsna just wrote: > Actually, it was reported on this list that Dayamrita Swami said that Amma > was talking only to westereners about this. Then Bala added that she had > informed the residents of Amritapuri. In my initial message about this, I wrote: >Swami pointed out that Amma is not > talking about this in other parts of the world, only in our country. This was a paraphrased of what Br. Dayamritaji said, and, in retrospect, considerably overstated it. Searching my memory, I believe he said something about how Amma was not saying this in Europe, though that doesn't make a lot of sense since She hasn't been to Europe yet. Please remember that Dayamritaji was in Chicago and had just heard about this himself, so what he was saying was not necessarily well thought out. Better to pay attention to the statement Sweta shared with us from MA Center, which obviously was well-thought out. In giving some background, I also wrote this: > This year, at the end of the Devi Bhava puja in Rhode Island, Amma spoke about > the impending darkness and urged us to do our practices. > As I understand it, our practices can be like the wind that dispels or at > least weakens the storm. > She also talked about the rain after a storm being a blessing. > She also referred to ³human conflict² (as opposed to an act of nature). In fact, at the end of the puja, Amma had gone into the Inner Temple and Swamiji came out and read her message. At one point as he was reading, Br. Dayamritaji came out and offered a suggested change, presumably at Amma's direction. Please forgive me for any misunderstanding caused by these inaccuracies. Guest guest
Dear Kenna and all, My current state of mind is that this is not going to be solved on the list, so I apologize if I upset anyone. It seems like a burden to have this knowledge, and as I indicated before, this brings up big childhood issues for me. That's my part of the issue. Right now I think it's best to follow Padre Pio's dictum, "Pray, hope and don't worry." So my humble pronams to all and hopes for the best. Humbly, Jyotsna > Actually, it was reported on this list that Dayamrita Swami said that Amma > was talking only to westereners about this. Guest guest
Namah Shivaya eveyone, What I recall hearing Br. Dayamrita stating last week was that Amma had asked the residents of Amritapuri to increase their spiritual practices, such as prayer & archana. If I did indeed hear this correctly, then that would include many Indian citizens. Last night's MA Center bulletin said, "Through praying for God's Grace, the dark clouds that are upon us can be blown away or turned into life-giving rain - but we need to apply the effort." Speaking of last night's satsang, the notes look challenging, so I'm not making any promises on when they'll be untangled! It also depends on how tonight goes at my night job, but it's usually very slow. With love, Sweta "E. Lamb" <jyotsna2 wrote: Dear Kenna and all, My current state of mind is that this is not going to be solved on the list, so I apologize if I upset anyone.
