Guest guest
OK, so we have a luminous photograph of Amma's freshly pada puja-ed feet on Guru Purnima this summer, and they are decorated with these beautiful pink roses... It's a color this ego-perspective of a bhogini really digs, because once about five years ago she was given a flowershop seva of taking off some thorns from a bunch of pink roses someone had brought to offer Mother, and the whole night turned into a huge leela soon thereafter. (Sorry for the contorted language twists here, "I'm" trying not to say "I" after Iswari's recent quote-post about surrender and emptying out the me feeling.) It was stunningly easy to remove the thorns, with Mother's grace, and contrasted to a similar task given to the same aspirant three years earlier upon a summer stay at another spiritual center whose teacher had already left the body. Those thorns were impossible - sharp sharp sharp, and prickly, blood and leaves everywhere. Mother's roses' thorns were flexible, soft, separated easily from the stalk, and did not prick... except for the VERY last one on two dozen stems!! Anyway, to connect the dots, there's a photo update on Amritapuri.org, and the first picture has the ashram "from the sea." And what do these eyes suddenly see? Why, as the subject line may suggest, PINK! Anyone who's traveled there know anything to share about that sweet color choice? Thanks... the still stuck in the world of name and form Prashanti
