Dearest Sister,

Still a struggle in what seems like every aspect of my life at this moment,

but I'm sure its not as bad as it sounds...It can always get worst! My ego seems

to be a constant struggle against me, and with the ego my anger is still rising

like a volcano at times. It is so selfish, it throws temper tantrums and kicks

its feet until it gets its way. I am better than last week but it keeps bringing

up conflicts to 'deal' with, I ignore it. Something that HAS been bothering me

and I won't deal with because I'm afraid it might cause a huge fight is my ex

husband, he sent only 300.00 last month (suppose to get 650.00) and I still

haven't received any payment this month, I'm afraid to bring it up, I don't feel

like he is trying, but I don't know his daily routine etc. I ask him to get a

room mate or find a second job, or a "better" job, but he always comes back with

excuses. I ask myself "What would Mother do?" I honestly don't know, the only

thing that comes up is to have faith. I should

email Swami and see if he could ask her, but I hate to be a bother when I

should JUST HAVE FAITH! It brings me to tears and agony just typing this out.

And I did ask Mother when I saw her about my financial situation and she said

"We will have to work on this" I have in the past made threats that I would have

to move to Texas with my parents or garnish his wages but I won't take the girls

away from their father and I can't see Amma garnishing his wages. I am just at a

loss here and she seems to have giving me an answer once already I don't see

that she would answer me again. Another lesson I guess, I should just let it go.

I did have an answered prayer!!! If you all remember in my "Meeting Amma

Experience"email I had lost my pictures of Amma that she had blessed. I prayed

and prayed for her to send them to me, I kept expecting them to come in the mail

at anytime, then I just gave up and didn't think about them anymore.. My friend

who drove me up JUST found them in her car two nights ago, she said she never

noticed them in there before!! Amma has sent me back my pictures!!! We are

having our FIRST sat-sung at the end of this month the 29th, we are having a

picnic to get things started. She will give them to me then. I'm anxious to meet

new Amma devotee's!

In any case I wouldn't worry about me much, Mother obviously has me working

hard on my path and very busy! I won't give up trying. I'm still waiting for my

promised liberation in this life time! LOL (For doing the holy water outside

this was promised to me from the guy passing out seva) So I guess Mother had to

accelerate my path! (joke)

Still have a lot of pondering etc. going on but I'll still save that for another

day. Your friend is in my prayers, and the rest of you are as well, I always

pray for you all. All my love.

At Amma's Lotus Feet,

Robin

A close friend is really struggling with the aftermath of botched/repeated knee

surgeries (3); I'd really appreciate any prayers you might send Amma on her

behalf; her name is Treca.

Robin, how are you doing this week?

Dear Robin,

None of us can say for sure what Amma would do in this situation. As for my own

feeling

about this...I understand your reluctance to take the children away from their

father.

However, I think it's a misunderstanding to assume that it's somehow unspiritual

to take

some kind of legal action here. I'm assuming that this money from your

ex-husband is

child support? If so...I feel like it would be a mistake to just let it go. If

there is some way

to collect this money from your ex-husband without resorting to garnishing his

wages, I

hope you are able to discern it. But if there is not...consider that, as a

mother, your

dharma is to care for your children? Perhaps the issue here is one of attitude,

rather than

one of action. You can take the necessary steps to protect your children's

welfare without

coming from a place of anger or bitter resentment (though I know it is hard!).

Just a thought for your consideration...

Dearest Robin,

A very advanced sadhak once told me that "being spiritual"

and "having faith" aren't the same things as allowing people to take

advantage of you or hurt you.

Stick up for yourself and your girls. It is your ex's duty to take

care of the girls financially, so it is HIS karma that is

influenced, not yours.

With love,

Niseema

(Amma's child whose mother didn't receive payments on time either,

but taught her daughters more from sticking up for herself than

anything else in their lives.)

She is a single parent , to care care of her kids she is financially dependent

earlier posts. It is available on the archives.

dear robin

another reason for the anger is that you have not forgiven your ex. completely

... forgive him.. he is also struggling .. so pray from him too .. may be the

divine want you to take more reponsibility .. to make you more tolerent .. more

patient .. more matured ..

sometimes you may feel , why all are behaving bad to you .. it is because of the

stress inside them .. they too have a lot of problems .. hence forgive them and

pray for them too.. ok .. everything will be alright .. ok..

with lots of prayers
